Murmuring

Exodus 16:8

“…your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.”

Chapter 16 of Exodus shows one of the situations of how the Israelites murmur whenever they didn’t like what’s happening to them in the wilderness. They didn’t understand what it means to trust and submit to God. They always murmur and question Moses and Aaron’s instructions and leadership.

As a member of the church, have you ever tried to murmur or question the instruction of your leader/s? Verse 8 says “…your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.” The Bible clearly states that when you murmur against your church Leader it means you are murmuring not to him but to God. Just like the Israelites, there are instructions that sometimes we can’t understand and we think what we think is better. But God gives those situations to see how we are going to submit and obey His words (v. 28)
